Yeah, the criminalization of weed is an abomination. People are going to do pleasurable things. They might as well do weed, as opposed to addictive drugs like alcohol and tobacco.

Just stopped by. I'm not sure if weed is OK in a spiritual sense, but it's a natural, just as much as tobacco and alcohol. To the worldwide police, please don't judge me from what I've just said, because I don't do illegal drugs or smoke! But cannibis is a great way for cancer patients (and other terminal cases) to regain their strength and appetite, especially following those nasty chemotherapy sessions! When the weed was turned into an illegal plant - even for medical use, I believe that the law went just a bit too far!

My question is, "Why should a government be allowed to police our private lives and pleasures?" Smoking weed is a 'victimless crime'. In the "Declaration of Independence", it is written:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Obviously, the pursuit of happiness vis a vis the victimless crime of smoking weed, has been thwarted.
